Derma-E Hydrating Skincare: A saving grace for my dry skin

Disclaimer: I was sent these items for free from Derma-E thanks to a collaboration opportunity.

I was sent an email earlier this month from Derma-E the email was to notify me hat I’d been chosen to be sent a free set of hydration products.

Well, I was overjoyed. For those of you who have come across my posts before might know I’ve had a few collaboration posts featuring Derma-E products.

My box arrived a few days before Thanksgiving. I was very excited to see what the items were. The email had only stated hydration skincare products.

What the box contained

The box contained a note care as you see in the image above and two products. The card just had info on the products and any info about Derma-E

Hydrating Gel Cleanser

The Hydrating Gel Cleanser is full size and it has a pump head.

Hydrating Night Cream

This is also a full sized product.

The Tests

I opted to use both products together. You can do this or use them separately.

Gel Cleanser

It’s a clear cleanser and it is a nice consistency. It isn’t too thick or too runny. I used a pump and a half. The scent reminded me of bubble gum or sassafras the first time using it. I found that a pump and a half was enough to cleanse my entire face and neck.

You apply it to a wet face and use circular motions to work it into your skin it gives you some lather but not a bunch. You can use our fingers or a cleaning brush. I tried both and didn’t notice a big difference in the way my skin felt.

It rinsed off my skin well. I didn’t have any irritation or other skin issues during my first use. I also didn’t notice that my skin was left feel drier or stripped of natural oils. You can use this cleanser once or twice a day.

Here are the ingredients

Purified Water, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate (Coconut Derived), Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine (Coconut Derived), Glyceryl Laurate (Vegetable Derived), Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Derived), Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid; Actimoist®Bio-1), Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemon Grass) Extract, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail) Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Organic Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract*, Allantoin, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Natural Fragrance Oils.

Hydrating Night Cream

I don’t know about anyone else but for me, my skin always feels drier at night and in the morning. This night cream has been my saving grace so far.

It’s thick so a small amount goes a long way. It’s a cream color. The first time I used it smelled a bit like bananas and cinnamon. It also had another scent I couldn’t quite place.

I applied it to a moist cleansed face. According to the packaging, Derma-E suggest you apply a rich layer of night cream to your skin. I will leave that open to interpretation. I applied a few large dots on my face then smoothed it over my skin.  It absorbs quickly but you still have that soothing layer of hydration. It didn’t irritate my face or cause any redness. I also found that my skin didn’t feel greasy either.

When i woke up the next morning my face still felt hydrated. So i am thankful for this free product.
